Why investment risk management? Financial crises occur about once a decade, with each one getting larger than the last.

Why investment risk management?

Why now?

Most investment advisors will tell you passive asset allocation is the way to achieve your investment objectives, but we couldn't disagree more.

I believe investments and markets require active risk management to avoid larger losses and to create the positive risk-adjusted investment returns people want.

Investors get complacent after stock and bond prices trend up for years, and became grossly overconfident when they get saved by the Federal Reserve when markets crash.

And markets do crash, over and over, and and eventually recovery is not guaranteed.

A prudent investor, and a fiduciary investment advisory like ours, necessary must consider  that anything can happen, and past performance isn't a guarantee of future results.

The risks are real, and I've seen it first hand since the 90s.

Financial crises occur about once a decade, with each one getting larger than the last.
